Clearissa Narrative writing The Penguin with a Problem

Walt: 1. write a narrative.
        2. use words to paint a picture.

The penguin with a problem

It’s been three days since I haven’t been home. All I saw was white blocks of gigantic ice. The temperature was worser than New Zealand. I went to my wardrobe to put on extra layers. As I was holding onto the side-bar, I could see a penguin from a distance.

Just a little pinch of light led me to the penguin. It squealed and squealed. I felt like it was squealing  for me. On it’s white coated, beautiful fur, it had drips of blood. I was shocked. I grabbed one more jacket and ran off the ship. Tears were running down the penguins face. Since my job was saving antarctica animals, I’d assumed I would help.

I sprinted back onto the ship. I could feel the coldness punch my cheeks. It was night time so I was sure to take my glow in the dark torch. I ran to the front of the ship to ring somebody. I heard crackling noises. Inside my heart, I was struggling. Maybe this poor penguin needed me? So I went back to the penguin with an axe.

The axe was razor blade sharp and incredibly big. I started axing the ice. I was careful enough to dodge the penguin. It shrieked loudly over night. My ears turned red. I was near the penguins feet by then. At 6 am in the morning the penguin was loose to roam again. I fell on the cold harden ice. After a few hours of sleep in my ship, I went back to New Zealand.

The news spread wide world quickly. Everyone was clueless with no evidence given. Five years later somebody went to antarctica and found the penguin. That person sore the scare hidden beneath the fur. I became a little bit famous. The person who found the penguin.....
to be continued....

The theme of this story is to help when someone or something needs help, even if you are alone. :D

Langa Fireworks

Walt:1.write a narrative
2.use words to paint a picture
        3.use senses

It was a beautiful night. My mum just told me that she went to the shop and bought five Bad Boys boxes for my little siblings birthday. We all got ready to celebrate fireworks day. We had to take a box of Bad Boy each outside. I had to take all the fireworks out of the boxes and put all of them in a bunch. It was in the middle of the field. I was excited.

Dad lit up the fire and ran to us. It was astonishing when it zoomed to the sky. It took about 21 minutes till the fireworks were dead. Dad had a rocket firework in one hand and in the other hand, he had two milk bottles filled with water. He laid the rocket on the grass and sparked it up. He sprinted towards us because the wire that makes the rocket to work was short.

It flew like a bird but way faster. It was like a jet plane. When it reached the sky, I heard a bang. There was something wrong. Little bits of fire weren’t suppose to fall from the sky. My mum toted us away from the burning bits. Dad was like a fireman without the firesuit. He watered them till they were soggy. There was a little bit of fire that flew down to dads shoulder. His clothes burned quickly like as if he spilled gas on himself. Mum rang the ambulance to take him to the hospital.   While mum was putting water on dad, the ambulance came and took him. Mum remembered that while dad was walking, he was shaking  of the fireworks.

The theme is to never shake the fireworks when it didn’t light up.

Chase Fireworks

Walt: 1.write a narrative.
          2. Use words to paint a picture.
          3. Use senses.

It was time for John’s first day of fireworks. John had never done fireworks before. His face was red. He said to himself that he was afraid. He went to his room and stayed in there. He didn’t come out.

When night began fireworks flew through the wind and blew up into little ashes. John was scared of the very bright light when the fireworks blew up. John heard a sound calling from downstairs. It was his mother. His mother was calling him to come and hold a sparkler. He didn’t know that his family does fireworks. But it seems that they do. John went down the stairs silently so that his mother didn’t know that he came down. He got caught by his dad. He was sent to hold the sparkler. John was trying his best to get away from the sparkler. But suddenly a little spinning cascade flew just through his legs and blew up. He yelled and then he ran back to his room.

John rushed to his bed and covered his entire body with his blanket. He couldn’t close his eyes. Everytime he tried to close it fireworks exploded. John saw a box of sparklers in his room and he saw a lighter. He knew that he wasn’t allowed touch the lighter. He picked up the lighter and he lit up the sparklers. He had goose bumps. He thought that he will burn. He was feeling little sparks on his hand. John then wasn’t afraid of the fireworks any more.

John went downstairs and enjoyed the fireworks with his family. Everyone was happy.

The theme of the story is that fireworks is not scary if handled correctly.

Saleha- Fireworks

Remember remember the fifth of November

In 1605 and my friends and I had a plan. We wanted to blow up Britain’s House of Parliament and  kill the King, maybe even the Prince of Wales, and the Members of Parliament who were making life difficult for us Catholics. My name is Guy Fawkes and I am the leader as my mates would call me.

“ Where do I take these 36 barrels of gunpowder?” yelled Thomas.
“Store them in a cellar just under the House of Lords”, I replied. But as we worked on the plot, it became clear that innocent people would be hurt or killed in the attack but I still wanted to continue with my plan. Some of the plotters started having second thoughts. Henry even sent an anonymous letter warning his friend, Lord Monteagle, to stay away from the Parliament on November 5th. I was furious. I wanted to kick him out but if I did then he would unveil  my plan. I knew that I couldn't afford that so I decided to let it slip by.

On the 5th of November when we were just about to start my mission I saw a noise coming down from the alleyway. My heart started to beat faster than ever before. I knew I was going to breathe my last soon but then I had an idea that would change my situation.
“Hey Thomas I would give your family one million dimes if you take my place”, I suggested.
“I know you are going to cheat on me boss.” Thomas argued. I persuaded  him at last and I went running out off the alley. I was free but I felt so sad because I knew that my friends had no idea what was going to happen to them.

Two weeks later I heard that the judge sentenced Guy Fawkes to the most horrendous form of execution available. He was sentenced to be hanged and quartered. My heart shattered into a million pieces. I could never forgive myself. People will never know that there were actually thirteen people who were part of the plan.

Kaho: The Kiwi

Walt: Write a narrative in sequence.
2.use words to paint a picture

One lovely night there was a new baby Kiwi who was sleeping in his cage. He woke up and ate his food and went outside. He was just walking around and around looking for some more food. He saw something coming out. It was a worm. He ran fast as he could to get it so he could eat it. I got it he
said to himself . He ate it he swallowed it and he loved it. He went to look for more. He found two and ate it.

Suddenly he got lost. He didn't know where to go. He was frightened. He didn't know how to get back to the zoo. He saw something coming to him. He didn't know what was it. So he ran and ran and ran trying to go home so he can be safe and warmer. He found a small cave where he could sleep. He ran slowly because he was tired. He was so cold and alone. He missed his mum and brothers and his sister and his home too.

It was day time but he was still tired so he slept for just one minute. He woke up and saw a cat and ran. He saw his foot marks and followed them. The zoo was closed by. The cat got tired and went away like he was scared. The baby kiwi made it to his home. His mum, brother and sister were so happy to see him alive and not hurt.

He had grown up. The zookeeper saw them eating and didn’t know what had happened. The kiwi’s name was Jason and he was five years old. He was safe.

Theme to never leave the door open.

Matthew Halloween

Halloween is the scariest event in the year
It makes me fill up with fear
Every kid with a mask
I can’t take this task
We go to a house and knock on the door
We say trick or treat but they just roar
I have a basket full of treats
So I keep on knocking on doors in the streets.

Langa Halloween

We're having a Halloween party at school
I'm dressed up like a vampire. Man, I look cool!
I put on some makeup to paint my face white
like creatures that only come out in the night

My mum drops me off and I run into school

and suddenly feel like the world's biggest fool.
