Britney Pizza Game

The walt in this game was to learn how to make pizzas. We are making pizzas by serving, making, and presenting to customers. I was going to  taking orders, making them then serving then doing it all over again.

It was all easy, but it got challenging when more and more customers came, they were getting really angry. It would be more difficult, If the pizzas cooked faster, or you had to get a lot of toppings, and if there was time for everything.

Next I want to learn to be a proffessional at it.

Jump Rope

Glen Innes School had their Jump Rope for heart in their school hall, on Friday the 7th. It started from the new entrants to the senior part of the school. All classes skipped and showcased their outstanding talents. They were supporting the heart foundation. Classes came to the floor, and skipped.

All classes had amazing skills . Everyone was smiling and having a wonderful time. All the children had long lasting enthusiasm.  But not just the students had high energy, the parents also were thrilled and was feeling the energy from the floor. Each class had about a 3-4 minute routine.

The music that Glen Innes School skipped to raised the roof. They had music that made you want to get up and dance and sing. Funny enough, students from all around the room did. When gentlemen came on everyone was dancing and singing crazy.

On the 22nd of June Glen Innes School are going to be showcasing their talents again at the G.I centre. So go down and see it for yourself. Also bring some coins along to also support the heart foundation.

Pyramids

The Egyptians believed that once that have died they would have an afterlife. Afterlife is a place where the dead could roa forever and forever.A priest touched the mummy’s mouth with a special instrument, so that the dead could eat and speak in the afterlife. But not everyone were mummified and put into a pyramid. It was based on the death on the royal people.

Before putting the dead person into a coffin, there was a process needed. You had to wash the dead body. Next the inside of the body was taken out of them and put into 4 special jars. Then the brain was pulled out through the nose. A pile of salt were set out around the corps. Then the insides were stuffed with rags and herbs. Finally rubbed with oil and wrapped with bandages.  

The pyramid of Giza is believed to have taken 20 to 30 years. It was believed to use about 2,300,000 blocks of stone. Also about 100,000 slaves. It took about 10 years to build a cause connecting the pyramid to a temple and a valley below. It was 480 feet high and 750 feet long each side.

Pyramids are not in one place, they are scattered all around Egypt. Pyramids are distributed to the Upper and Lower parts of Egypt. The pyramid of Giza, one of the seven wonders is still standing. It stands on the outside of Cairo. Also along the Nile river.

The first pyramid was built by a king called sneferu. He became king as a young man. He had many years to live that made him have plenty of time to make not just one but three pyramids in two different places in Egypt. One at Meidum and two at Dashur.

Glen Innes School is an amazing, appealing, and adventurous school. It has incredible achievements.

Glen Innes School is a really caring school. In the 8 years I’ve been here, the staff has given and supplied food to those that didn’t have without hesitation. Breakfast is offered to those that don’t have breakfast. But most of our students have their breakfast before they come to school.

Our school is a very active and amusing.We all enjoy swimming, learning, and building up our stamina in our school swimming pool. We also have G.I’s got talent to showcase everyone's talents from singing, dancing and playing their favourite instrument. Also we have laughable shows. Some of our students actually get to act in them.

We are innovative. Meaning original and different. This year 33 students from rooms 11 and 12 are being chosen to show their skills in many codes of sports. We are all looking forward to that. Also the learning on our netbooks. In has helped many of us in our academic and sports work. And also the school acknowledges the students with their new ideas. For example we had made a stunt wheel with the mechanism of wind. A student called Blade Howell had a wonderful idea, to use the leaf blower and see how the stunt wheel reacts to it.

Our environment is clean and healthy. we have fresh and lovely vegetable gardens that we use for fillings in sandwiches. And we have containable grass. Also around of school hall and our school sign we have lovely flowers of different colours.

For the many years this school is around it will have a lot more interesting, fun, innovative ideas. And many more awesome achievement.

What questions would you ask if you were interviewing a sports star?
What or who inspired you to play sport and when did you start playing sport?

When you grow up what do you want to be? and why?
A vet because I love to help animals and I love taking care of animals.

What theme park would you like to go to? and why?
I would love to go to Dream World  because it has been my dream since I was a little girl.

What animal would you like to be? and why?
I’ve always wanted to be a Aphid  because the are so small and not many people can see them.

Who is your favourite cartoon character and which cartoon is it in?
Lisa in the Simpsons because she is such a brainiac.

What is your favourite game? and why?
Black Ops on X-box 360 because its an action game and you get to s/home/britney97d5kkr/screen shothoot zombies.

Tell me about an art tool that relates to you?
A paintbrush is more like me because I love painting.

What do you think about when you are competing?
I always think about trying to win but just having fun is more important.


 

Triathlon at the movies by Britney

In the school holidays we worked with Mr Ramkolowen to finish a movie for the Manaiakalani festival. Our movie features events,  activities and learning from this interesting year. One of the events that  features in our movie is triathlon.

Triathlon is a great event to compete in and for fitness. Triathlon includes three code sports a swim, bike and run. Triathlon is known a lot all over the world and this year they had the championship triathlon at The Cloud in Auckland.

I am looking forward to seeing the movies from other Manaiakalani schools today.

Energetic Songs by Britney

Recently I decided to carry out a survey. Targeting the children and staff of Glen Innes School. My question was “Who is their favourite R & B singer?”. I personally went around asking room 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12 that question. Fifty children were surveyed.

I used excel to draw my 3 D graph. My data was represented in a pie graph.

Based on the results most children and staff voted for Chris Brown. Ne- Yo had the least votes with 0.

I believe that most children and staff chose Chris Brown because he has energetic songs. Maybe Ne-Yo was voted the least favourite because he isn’t as popular as Chris Brown.
