Tane- Enlargement

webcam-toy-photo2.jpg

Yesterday we were learning about enlargement. Our task today for maths was to enlarge a picture of an ant, hat, dinosaur, or lion. As you can see I tried to enlarge a picture of an ant it sorta came as I pictured it but I drew the last part of the ant to big. The little picture of the ant is 9 centimeters and the large picture of the ant is 18 centimeters so the scale factor is 2. I had to count each square on each picture as I started to draw the larger ant so the measurements could be as precise as possibly. I found this drawing activity a bit difficult because the legs and the circle at the end was hard to get in the exact spots. After doing this activity I would like to learn more about co - ordinates.

I really like your enlargement that you drew of your ant. I did a tiger and it was pretty difficult. How long did it take for you to draw this?.

I loved the way you used the grid it looked just like it.Was it easy when you did it outside the one that you did outside was better. When I did my hat on the paper on it did not look like the hat.Even the way I color it.Was it hard when you did it ?
